The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl — No3
Lovergirl fell in love with Ghostboy on the night he saved her life.
They stood back to back in Silversundown, the city they called home, and he easily took down the masked crusaders who were intent on seeing the city descend into chaos.
“You okay?” he called back, and she nodded, licking her lips.
“You really know how to put on a show,” she said.
“Put on a show? I’m just doing my job.”
“Does doing your job mean being so close to me? Hmm?”
He laughed. “Okay, maybe there was some personal intent in there too.”
“I thought so.”
The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl is a microfiction series inspired by Taylor Swift’s Lover album (released 2019). Each story can be read as a standalone, but they build on each other for this superhero universe I’ve created.
