kiss me
slow and long
like we’re sharing secrets
that won’t last in the atmosphere
because we’re bubbling up, floating,
taking to the air in wingless flight

hold me
like a treasure
you can’t hope to keep forever,
and maybe then you’ll realize
my worth long before I even say a word
that may just break us if it came from my lips

touch me
softly, tenderly, completely —
and I’ll do the same for you,
kneeling at the temple of your body
while I grace my mouth on all those parts
a wayward god might have sculpted by hand

linger more
on the space
between where our words meet
and our tongues clash, passions igniting
in our own little universe we’ve crafted
from the dust of what was once nothing

see me
as something more
than just that name in your cell phone,
the girl you can summon…
