I never believed in the grander scheme of the universe until I met Cassandra.
You read that right. Cassandra. The fabled prophetess, doomed never to be believed.
In vlogs she broadcast around the world, she warned of calamities far and wide. Sometimes she even cried, pleading with her audience. But still no one believed her. Avoidable tragedies still occurred.
Everyone chalked her up as just another conspiracy theorist.
But not me.
I was a lone journalist in a sea of voices. What good could I do?
I offered what little I could: I sent the interview request.
And?
She accepted.
