The make-up brush dropped from Kitty’s fingertips with a clatter. “What?” she nearly squawked.
Edmund Reyes, for his part, seemed a good-natured fellow from the way he once again laughed. “I know I don’t look like much, but I didn’t expect such surprise.”
“No — no, I — I just — ”
“You’re allowed to be rude to strangers,” he said gently, “and standoffish to people who are just fans. But we’re going to be business partners of a kind. Unless you’re thinking of refusing my offer?”
“No!”
“Good.” Edmund smiled. “Because I think this is an opportunity you can’t refuse.”
A Tale of Glitz & Glamour was inspired by Taylor Swift’s twelfth album The Life of a Showgirl. The main character is inspired by Taylor Swift’s showgirl character Kitty Finley. Out of copyright concerns, I have added my own embellishments to make the character my own, but each piece was inspired by one of Swift’s songs on the album.
