A Girl Between Worlds

There was always something about that Stone girl.

Halley Stone had been able to jump across space since she was a girl. Her first portal appeared when she was six years old — standing at the edge of a park — and she stepped through it as easy as breathing.

That day, she ended up miles away in a little New York suburb. The only reason she had ended up back home so quickly was due to the mercy of a stranger allowing Halley to use her cell phone. Panicked, with snot running down her face, she had called her mother.

But the space-jumping had only continued since then.
