10 Fictional Stories, 10 Words, 10 Chances to Read Something You Might Have Missed From Me in 2022
Here’s a look back at the fiction I loved writing in 2022.
I told myself I wouldn’t do any special “Best of 2022” compilation posts for my own work, but then some of my writerly colleagues steered me in a different direction (for good, always for good).
You must understand why I was a bit intimidated to go through my past fiction for this list. I mean, I wrote a lot of stuff this year, so that alone was overwhelming. While these aren’t my best stories, per se, I think these are a good chunk of the ones that floated to the top of my mind when I was thinking of stories I’d like to have a second chance at flourishing. They’re best designated as some of my “favorites” from this year.
There’s a good mix of romance, speculative elements, fantastical leanings, and even some spicy content. I tried to put something on here for everyone in case you have only read certain writing from me (such as the “My Universe” I had going for a while).
Before I list everything out for you, here’s the criteria I used to determine what helped each story to make the cut:
- Has less than 100 views
- Has at least 1000-word length
